HISTORY

The Heart O' Dixie Region of the Porsche Club of America was chartered on March 28, 1961. After a lapse in activity, the region got a restart and was rechartered on June 19, 1968. The region now serves the northern third of Alabama and represents PCA members from Blount, Cherokee, Colbert, Cullman, DeKalb, Etowah, Franklin, Jackson, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Marion, Marshall, Morgan, and Winston counties of Alabama. PCA members residing in these counties are assigned to the Heart O' Dixie Region unless another region is requested.

LOCAL ACTIVITIES

Our region has a membership of approximately 195 people with about 1/3 of them as active participants in club events. Our members come from all walks of life and their cars represent restorations in progress, track cars, daily drivers, and concours vehicles. Our members enjoy local club socials, technical sessions, attending PCA Parade, driver's education events, routine car maintenance, auto-crossing, car restoration, attending races, etc. New members are always welcome. MONTHLY MEETING

Heart O' Dixie has a membership dinner meeting the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM, at a local restaurant. For the current location, refer to the Calendar page. We also have our monthly "Pit Stop" breakfast the first Saturday morning of each month. Refer to the calendar page.

Other scheduled events are listed on the Calendar page and include Driver's Education, technical sessions, driving tours, and our annual Christmas social.

MEMBERS

Our region has 195 members as of 12/2/07, with 114 primary and 81 affiliates.
